What is Paper 3? How does it differ to Paper 1 & 2

There are 3 papers for Edexcel Business; the third paper is worth 30% compared to the others (35% each). Also, the other 2 papers have no prior information released to students in terms of what industry case studies to expect.

- Remember: 8 markers exist in paper 3 and not the other 2 papers too (similar to a 12 marker) - SEE HERE FOR STRUCTURE & here for tips

There are no 4 markers in paper 3, but you are likely to have to do some maths within a 12 or 20 mark question.

Students ARE given information a few months before the Paper 3 exam each year in regards to the ONE industry they will be writing about in the whole of Paper 3. Further info on this industry is provided on the day, but students are expected to have done some research on the industry prior to the exam, so that they know the broad trends etc.

- You cannot take any of your research or investigation data carried out as part of the pre-release into the examination. Nor do you need stats and figures because you should rely on the case studies provided.

Themes 1-4. No 4 markers but maths in the 12/20 mark questions. 8 markers come in (similar to a 12 marker without a decision). See more below
